Can I wear black shoes with my ivory wedding dress if I wear a black and ivory flower hairpin?

I don't want to pay for ivory shoes when I know I'll never wear again. any thoughts?

Not unless it's a really huge hairpin that can be seen from the front as well as the back... though that that point it would be more of a hat.

The only way you're going to get away with black shoes with an ivory dress is if you incorporate some black into the dress itself. Either black trim, or a black wrap/shawl.

White, you might get away with. But not black. Just go to PayLess, get a cheap pair of shoes and toss them when you're done. I've never paid more than $14 at PayLess for anything. Unless your dress is a short style, people are only going to see the tips of them anyway.
